Obituary for Mark N. Elliott
He was born March 18,1968 in La Crosse, WI to Norbert and Diane (Anderson) Elliott. He grew up in the town of Burns and graduated from Bangor High School in 1986. After high school he pursued his education at Western Technical College for HVAC. He worked for Trane Company in La Crosse, WI as a Lab Specialist for 35 years until his retirement in September 2024.
He met the love of his life Deann (Knudtson) in high school. They got married on October 6th 1990 in Bangor, WI at the Presbyterian Church and soon after became parents to Amber and April whom he loved dearly. Deann was his true best friend and the center of his world. Their love was the kind that inspired others and grew stronger through the years.
Music was his language, and the guitar was his constant companion. Whether strumming familiar melodies or creating new ones on the spot in the garage or around a campfire, he brought comfort, laughter and connection to countless gatherings. Friends and family will forever remember the sound of his music drifting through the night air becoming the soundtrack to many cherished memories.
He found joy in simple and meaningful moments of life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting and looked forward to the annual Elliott deer camp gathering. In the summer you would catch him casting a line into the Chippewa Flowage with his family, a place he truly felt at home. Whether the fish were biting or not, he treasured the quiet mornings on the water, ending the day watching the perfect sunset and making beautiful memories with loved ones.
A skilled woodworker and lifelong handyman, Mark could fix anything and approached every project with patience and pride. His handcrafted pieces and the countless things he repaired, will continue to serve as reminders of his talent and devotion.
Mark was a passionate Green Bay Packer fan, cheering through every season with his friends and often attending games at Lambeau field.
He cherished time spent bowling with friends, a passion first sparked by his father-in-law, Butch, who introduced him to the lanes many years ago. One of his greatest joys was passing that love for bowling on to his daughters. He spent countless evenings perfecting his game, sharing stories and enjoying the camaraderie that came so natural to him. He looked forward to his annual bowling outing with his co-workers at Trane.
He found joy in gardening, tending to both his vibrant flowers and plentiful vegetables with care. The garden was a place where he nurtured life from seed to bloom. He also had a passion for photography; he took many pictures of his family and nature. A true master of the flames, he turned every cookout into a feast with his love to grill.
But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and four beautiful grandchildren whom he cherished every moment with. His legacy lives on in the love he gave, the lessons he shared and the memories that will forever be held close.
