Condolences for Janell M. Torgerson

Dear Dennis, Amy, Krisa, Erin, and family, I am deeply saddened by the loss of Janell. She was such a wonderful, sweet, and caring woman who touched so many lives—including mine. Growing up next door to her was a true blessing. She raised three incredibly kind girls that I always admired, and she was the mom who stepped in when mine was away—whether it was putting my hair in a pony for dance, providing our forts with carpet and twine, or making sure I had a snack (and I was hungry a lot!). I always knew I had another mom just a few feet away, and she made my Sunnyside childhood so special. I feel so lucky to have grown up with her love and kindness so close by. Sending the biggest hugs and all my love to you and your family during this difficult time.

Dear Dennis & family, we are very sad to hear about Janell’s passing, and offer to you our most sincere sympathy. We thank you Dennis & Janell for sharing your daughter Erin with us for 9 months when she was on student exchange in Australia. During that time we were honoured to have you visit us, and subsequently we were able to experience your hospitality a couple of times, sharing our Christian Faith within our Lutheran Churches. Wonderful memories of our friendship with your family are ours to keep. In time we will all meet again, with Janell, in our Heavenly Home. Our sincere sympathies to you and your family Dennis. We only met you and Janell a few times at Chris & Randy's, but from those encounters it was easy to tell how loving and caring a person Janell was. We know she will be missed greatly. Wishing you all love and peace during this difficult time.

I am saddened to hear of Janell's passing. Although I haven't seen her much in recent years, I thoroughly enjoyed her when Torgerson's was in business. She was always sweet, kind and helpful and I loved visiting with her. My sincere sympathy to Dennis and the entire family. She will be very mush missed here but we know that The Lord has welcomed her with open arms and is taking good care of her.
