Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory History

Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Homes and Crematory (formerly Jandt Funeral Homes) have been serving the area since 1975. Owner, Dennis H. Jandt (pronounced "Yondt") began his funeral service career when he acquired La Crosse area's oldest funeral 'home,' the Jostad Funeral Home in West Salem which was built in 1960. In 1992, he expanded his business by purchasing the Haugen-Roble Funeral Home in Caledonia, Minnesota. It was at that time, Jeffry B. Fredrickson began his employment for Jandt Funeral Home, Inc. In 1999, Dennis was proud to open a new facility in Bangor, Wisconsin, making it his third location.

Always wanting to expand to La Crosse, Wisconsin, Dennis was fortunate to obtain ownership of the Woodruff Funeral Home on the South side of La Crosse when David Woodruff retired.

In order to successfully serve the communities through our 4 locations, our staff has grown immensely and includes members of different faiths, including Catholic and Lutheran beliefs.

Since the cremation market is increasing, we were proud to open up a new crematory in our La Crosse location in October of 2010. In doing so, we are able to offer low cost cremations to families. Some people believe that funeral homes are more expensive for cremation services; well, not ours.

Our Belief

We strive to offer a personally unique remembrance service with professionalism to all the families we serve. our staff is committed to helping families experience the most meaningful and memorable tribute for their loved one. Fair and honest pricing is of utmost importance to us in addition to specializing in personalization. Because we are committed to providing the most value for your money, we will meet, if not beat, any price quote brought to us from another funeral home.

Our licensed, professional staff will compassionately assist you to make knowledgeable decisions with all of your funeral and pre-planning needs.
